Lisa M. Gehrke, JD, MA E-mail Lisa
Lisa is the founder and President of Gehrke & Associates, S.C. Her practice focuses on patent prosecution, patent and trademark opinions, licensing, intellectual property portfolio development and management, bioethics and business counseling.
She earned a B.S. in biology and psychology from Marquette University and a J.D. from Marquette University Law School. In addition, Lisa earned a M.A. in Bioethics from the Medical College of Wisconsin with a specialization in legal and ethical issues relating to biotechnological and biomedical research, research ethics, and the ownership of human biological materials and genetic information.
Lisa is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and is a member of the Wisconsin and Virginia Bars. She is a guest instructor in the Medical College of Wisconsin’s Bioethics Program and frequently lectures and writes on issues relating to bioethical and intellectual property concerns in research.
Lisa serves on the Institutional Review Board of the Blood Center of Wisconsin and the Board of Trustees of the Milwaukee Repertory Theater. She is also the President of the Board of Directors of the Friends of the Milwaukee Repertory Theater and the President-elect and Development Director of the National Association of Women Business Owners – Greater Milwaukee.
